I recently hosted a corporate retreat at Oropa and was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating it was for business travelers. The two conference rooms were well-equipped with audio-video facilities, making presentations seamless. The free Wi-Fi in public areas was a lifesaver, though it could be a bit spotty at times, which kept me agile for remote work. During our stay, we enjoyed the varied food options offered in their restaurant and bar/lounge area. It provided a relaxed environment for informal brainstorming sessions after our meetings. The welcome drink upon arrival was a nice touch, setting a laid-back tone for our retreat. Parking was straightforward, with an off-site lot close by. As a Maldivian, I appreciate convenience and the serenity of the surroundings, which was abundant here. After a busy day, it was lovely to unwind in nature, leaving city chaos behind. Oropa serves as a decent choice for corporate retreats, blending work with relaxation. Just be ready to adapt to some of the quirks like the internet and perhaps book early to secure parking.
